21 votes were needed for a 2/3 majority and there are only 19 Republicans.

I think we already did pass the point of no return.  And I’m starting to feel the pull to the dark side.  Like, I’m ready to tell Mrs. Funk and the Funklets, “Look, humanity is complete garbage.  War, genocide, religion, black licorice, Donald Trump, poverty, greed, pay-WiFi, Republicans... The list goes on forever.

That’s horrible.  Wishing for a person to be slowly consumed by parasites that cause unimaginable pain and keep the host alive and conscious but paralyzed is beneath you, sir.

The GOOD stories, where the people who volunteered to go murder other people aren’t so damned traumatized by it!

He should take out a full page ad in the New York Times calling for Joe Bidan’s execution.

Well, among many other atrocities, the guy did advocate frequently for committing genocide, so, yeah, the world is a much safer and better place with him not in it.

I’m just glad he’s dead.

Fucking doterd.

Too many comments for me to look through the grays right now but there is a surprising lack of Gnomeo and Juliet in the approved comments.

No, it’s pure Pittsburgh on the iHeartRadio app. Local news with Val at X:00, local sports with Prisuta at X:30, and local commercials. It’s funny because I will hear the weather and get confused. “It’s not raining!”

publicly-funded reporting

I’m also from the suburbs and before I left there was better reporting in my local Beaver County Times than the fucking Trib.

hy·per·bo·le

I gave up on the Trib countless years ago after all of the Scaife fuckery. It’s the Fox News of Pittsburgh papers. I gave up on the PG after the Rob Rogers bullshit. As a Pittsburgh ex-pat, it sucks that my only source of hometown news now is listening to WDVE via iHeart on my morning commute.

Lol. And steaks.

If the tariff is considered as an increase to freight/duty cost as opposed to material costs, that may make sense. But I don’t know the data and you’re right to criticize the wording.

That’s right. It was aluminium.

This can’t be repeated enough. President Deals is such a bad businessman that he virtually single-handedly destroyed Atlantic City just as casinos everywhere else in the world were booming like crazy.

Yeah. Like, philosophically, using tariffs to incentivize domestic manufacturing makes sense. But when the tariffs aren’t enough, and no other actions are taken, then the only result is higher consumer prices.
