Hmmm, missed this one yesterday. Torch, I'll buy you a beer upon arrival. And then show you where the closest Cars and Coffee is. Or maybe that should be go to C&C, then get a beer. Whatever the order.

Slacker, get back to work.

By the way, going in L-R order all the way down:

Haha, I kind of went whole hog on the hobby over the last few years. Sorry for the potato quality, you can probably guess that I don't use my phone to take the pictures that were uhh, in the pictures.

I can believe that. I can imagine it can get pretty intense at times. Not that I'm not in a stressful line of work, hell I work for a government agency that's in the news right now. And not in a good way. But it's a different kind of intensity.

I've still said my dream job is in motorsport, I'd probably take a reasonably substantial pay cut to do it too. Downside is I'm not an engineer, or a technical person (as far as my line of work goes). There are some definite fanboys at Indy that are just flat out weird.

I've only ever met him at the track...honestly the most genuine thing I saw was when he did the one off last year for the Grand-Am race and his son wouldn't leave him alone when he and Joey Hand were practicing driver changes. But, I can respect that he has a job to do, and I really wouldn't want people following me

Indeed. Granted, I made a few comments about TK over on Racer.com the other day, that while I won't say were less than savory, just were realistic about a couple interactions I've had with him in the past. (I'm nothing but a fan that enjoys taking pictures at races, and thoroughly enjoys immersing myself in

Can't argue with that logic. As some one with a ton of Ganassi stuff signed by a variety of Ganassi drivers hanging around the house....even though you're on payroll, there are plenty of us that weren't thrilled about the way that played out at the end.

I was hoping for a different outcome. But, that made for a helluva an end to a race.

Ahhh, I thought I'd read that somewhere. but then couldn't find anything on either website. Well, at least I thought I'd read that it was going to be separate races, didn't realize that it was going to be the lites and the PC on track at the same time. That should be interesting. And should make the PC cars seem

IndyCar is by far the best racing that you can see.

While I'm not thrilled that the P cars won't be at VIR this year, a field of GTLM, GTD, and PC should make for some interesting traffic situations, and hopefully some good photo situations for me.

Drove one. Didn't like it. That's really all I've got to say about that. Honestly, the most redeeming thing about it was the "Dealer" license plate affixed to the rear, so it was publicly known that it wasn't mine.

I, for one, was pumped to see JPM pull out a victory. He was "my driver" when I was in middle school and he was tearing it up for Chip. Then he was "my driver" in F1, and because of him, McLaren (sorry Williams) ended up being "my team."

Old man quarterlifecrisis's 68 Hemi Charger (B-body, full interior, heavy car) ran a mid 13ish on slicks in the early 70s, a regear from the factory 3.52s dropped it into the high 12s.

Whoever said "net ratings" are gathered at the rear wheels is wrong. Just a friendly reminder, gross was with no belt driven accessories or exhaust, net is with accessories in place and full exhaust usually.

Hmmm. No questions, that's just kind of sharp looking.

But, $40k Accords and Camrys exist, regardless.

Everything was a lot more affordable then. Unfortunately, inflation doesn't precisely capture the purchasing power of a dollar. Car prices are one of those things, look at what $20kish gets you now - an econobox. It's the same as college tuition. I can use the Charger example, since I grew up around the car, that
