I still don’t understand what this podcast is supposed to be about.

I dunno, Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein don’t seem to be making a comeback any time soon.

Hot take:

It doesn’t shock me that Torch doesn’t understand the concept of hyperbole.

I rent from Sixt, all the time, every time. If Sixt is unavailable, I will Uber.

It will also be available for PC.

Both Trump and McConnell survived COVID so I’m convinced there is no God.

As a shareholder, thank fuck they didn’t. My gains have literally paid off my house and car since then.

I don’t think Tesla should move aside — Musk should. He should bring in a more established CEO with a positive track record to stabilize and continue to grow and mature the company. The startup shit doesn’t fly anymore.

The folks on /r/TeslaMotors have said they ARE getting used to it over time, but it’s still not ideal IMHO.

British prime minister Boris Johnson, who in many ways is like Trump if he were British and didn’t pretend he was a man of the people, also said he was “absolutely thrilled” to meet Biden, whom he called “a breath of fresh air.”

The sun is INCREDIBLY efficient at powering vehicles: VIA A BATTERY.

Except he’s been slowly getting more deranged without human contact.

Why beige?

The electric future of America is coming, but GM’s approach confounds me. $100k super truck? Who is this stuff for?

Yeah this is a weird one to me. I’m all for EVs, but man, serious offroading (versus “Hey man, wanna go mudding in the field?”) seems like the type of thing that should be left to ICE vehicles until we’ve reached a level of solar efficiency and battery storage to where it’s not a recipe for “getting stuck.”

The Tesla shorts still may not be wrong about Tesla in the long-term, though in the near-term probably not enough has been said about how little resistance Tesla has faced from the legacy automakers. That is all changing, and it’ll be fascinating to see how it goes.

I’m upset this DMC revival never happened: https://www.motor1.com/news/18014/delorean-to-revive-pontiac-solstice/

Eberhard and Tarpenning never wanted to make a mass market car though. They would have essentially been the EV Lotus and that’s about it.

I paid half this for a 1998 Range Rover... in 2004.
