Until the timing chain stretches and you start burning 2 qts of oil every oil change. Ask me how I know!

Bingo. I really want a V8 powered, RWD, manual family sedan. This fits the bill. But all I think of when I see it is that it's an old Malibu. If it looked more like the new Impala, I would buy one today. As it stands, I will wait to see what comes next or see if I can snag one on the used market down the road.
That may be debatable as these jobs become more high tech. But that's still a MUCH better starting wage than I earned with my bachelor's degree.
I'm just saying that if Tesla is to succeed it will succeed whether or not oil is $1 a barrel or $100 a barrel. Also, Tesla could fail in either case.
Expect more stories like this as every automaker says they've had to do what had to be done to stay alive and the UAW saying "yeah, on our backs assholes."
Agreed. We looked that these when kid #2 was on the way and we needed something bigger than our Fiat. Couldn't get past the sticker.
We checked out new Volvos for our last car purchase. Couldn't get past the sticker price. No way. They make buying a Buick appealing.
Neutral: If Not The Gas Tax What? If you think I'm wrong about raising the gas tax what's your alternative?
I think we would all agree, if only the tax went 100% towards maintaining the roads.
They also pay MUCH higher licensing fees. Here in Wisconsin, the license plate fee for a semi is $2,560.00. Plus a $5 processing fee, or course.

Packers fan here. On the drive, I looked over at my wife and said "he's going to throw a pick". Literally 20 seconds later he does.
It's not very far from Door County, Milwaukee, Chicago, or Minneapolis. And there is plenty to do; it's not some 1 stoplight town in the middle of nowhere. It's a metro area of about 400k if you include the Fox Cities right down the road (where opposing teams stay). Also, the entire U.P. comes to Green Bay to shop,…
And are you still dating after that?
This is why I never send food back to the kitchen. I don't want to gamble that there is an asshole chef who wants to get back at me. I eat what I can, then put the rest aside, then never return to that establishment. I vote with my patronage.
Assuming these guys felt he deserved more than a $2 tip, they should have informed the driver they just needed a couple bucks back. I am always specific with the tip if I hand over more cash the the bill. Either "keep the change" or "give me back $x.xx and keep the rest as a tip".
Dealer loaners can be a fantastic deal. Never titled, barely used (usually <10k miles). They end up being price like a rental car, but the people who drive Cadillac loaners are usually pretty tame drivers.
A gently used ATS is pretty reasonable, and has tempted me on more than one occasion.
Exactly. I was starting to wonder how I could be the only one that thinks a physical shifter on a slushbox is stupid.
I would have agreed with you too...until I drove a car with a heated steering wheel in winter. I get it. I get it now.
