So, they went to the trouble of squeezing a SBC in this thing, but couldn’t get a single picture showing said engine?

One would think that would be one of the first pics.

Real interesting to see how they got it to pass CA emissions, must have been some major rule changes since I lived out there. Used to be that swaps

You’d have to pay me to take this frankentruck on. Even then I’d take it straight to the junkyard to get rid of one headache  in my life.

90% of the reason to get a Hilux is for the bulletproof Toyota drivetrain. That is gone here, and you’re left with some Frankentruck dually-looking thing with a SBC.

Frankly, not really, no. Their history isn’t being ‘dismantled’, it’s being temporarily deconstructed and then reconstructed to allow a ship to pass. Is their council backtracking on an earlier promise? Yeah, sounds like it. Could they be kicked out of office as a result? Yep for sure. Is it possible that council

You know what I’ve never done after forking over tens of thousands of dollars to a company to buy their product? Volunteer as their PR department as so many of these Tesla fanatics do. Has Tesla ownership become ingrained into their personality that they take any perceived slight as a personal attack?

My wife drives a Jeep

In modern cars the airbag control unit sends a digital signal and will just move the seat back a set amount. This motor lock out for overheat protection has been a thing for decades actually. Not just seats, windows, door locks, etc etc. Nothing new here

Honestly fuck Tesla forever, but if you’re in the driver’s seat and have been adjusting it for 90 seconds within the span of 5 minutes, you shouldn’t have been driving the car to begin with. Seriously, use a stopwatch to get to 90 seconds, it’s an eternity.

Got a question for you: when two drivers get in the car, and both have their fobs with them, how does the car decide which memory setting to use?

How is this different from an RPM limiter? They both keep users from destroying the motor by going outside of operating manufacture’s specs.

You can thank decades of kicking the can down the road to a) boost military spending and b) give rich people and corporations tax breaks. My favorite is listening to a libertarian I know complain about shitty infrastructure while crying about how unfair taxation is.

The money we wasted on Iraq and Afghanistan would be more useful here at home.

Those zany Pittsburgh buses are at it again. Is there nothing those lovable scamps won't do for our crumbling amusement?

I miss having a country that built things and used tax money to do it. We are watching our country sink into ruins and keep waving the flag.

The fact people even take them to a bike shop to get them fixed is hilarious. They’ll spend more on labor than they did on the entire bike.

You mean that $99 bike built by a 16 year old kid in the back of Walmart isn’t of ultra-high quality using the best parts on the market? I’m shocked!

You might think OBDII would make this all moot, but the manufacturers have gotten around the OBDII requirement by providing only the bare minimum via that interface and putting all of the useful stuff on ECU-specific codes that can only be read by their proprietary software. It’s become increasingly common to have a

Or it’ll let most of the drunks get away with it half the time, and it’ll let the people playing Wordle get away with it half the time, and it’ll stop you getting to work on time a few times a year because the accuracy rating will be in the 99% to 99.9% range, and that will mean 1 time in 100 there will be a false

This is not some “kill switch” that cops or congressional pages can activate by just pointing a big red button at your car

It’s not about shifting the blame; it’s about making sure you survive the day.
