I’ve been to a couple of shops where the job doesn’t leave until a supervisor personally torques all the lugs with a torque wrench. I doubt it’s much of a “do the right thing” move. More of a CYA policy, to avoid repeating that time when the departing customer watched one of his wheels get to the first stop sign…

I’m Canadian and our prison sentences are nowhere as long as the US. I think it’s important to make an example out of her to set a clear message that if you fuck up this much in an aircraft, it will impact the rest of your life.

20 years is excessive. In Europe they don’t give that much for murder. I think 1-2 years is plenty of time for something like this.

It always takes my brain a second to adjust when I see a GX 470 doing actual off-road duty. Intellectually, I know they’re built for it, but I have been conditioned to seeing them doing mall parking lot duties for so long, it’s weird seeing one out in the wild.

I always go by the octane recommended in the car’s manual. At least that what I’ve always been told to do. Anything else is a waste of a very limited and polluting resource - since it takes more petroleum to produce higher octane fuel.

You forgot the part about how constant tax cuts result in infrastructure cuts and inspections are one of the resulting shortcomings.

Taxes are high in some countries, but they have bridges that are not broken, nice roads, free higher education and universal healthcare.... 

The real answer here is that if you tow larger trailers longer distances, this probably isn’t the truck for you (though the Hybrid F-150 probably is).
