Agreed. I did a comparison on another article that I’ll summarize. Our next car is likely to be a minivan because we have a kid on the way and plan for more. The Sienna as we would spec is $40k, gets 36 miles to the gallon, has a 650 mile range, and refuels in 5 minutes. There is no EV equivalent, largely due to EVs

I think 5-minute fillups is unfortunately something that people are gonna have to live without for a little while.

What really is important to you point 1 is that the vast majority of those cops killed in service are due to traffic accidents.

True. But also looking at used evs. The data seems to match. There aren’t many high mile evs. And there’s a ton of crazy low mile ones.

If they can’t even afford the time and expense of a nice mockup, that doesn’t bode well for the actual vehicle.

My guess is they didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a Jeep 13 people will buy.

The chain that secures my S10's spare tire rusted through at some point. I don’t know exactly when, hopefully it didn’t ruin anyone’s day.

Same thing happened to me in an S10! The thinggy that held it down in the front decided to give up the goat. Fortunately, I was driving down a country road with nobody around. After that I went home and bolted the damn thing to the bed rails with eye bolts that made very nice tie downs for other crap.

Yeah. Do you own your car, or does your car own you?

Exactly, a lot of people see the letters “SUV” and think it refers to a Chevy Tahoe or some other monstrosity.

“SUV” is very much in air quotes here. Think of the absolute smallest cheapest CUVs available in the US like the Hyundai Venue or Nissan Kicks. All that’s happening in the Euro market is the absolute smallest cheapest cars are getting squeezed out, and subcompacts/compacts are increasingly becoming crossover-ified.

Maybe, maybe not. I had the chance to test drive a Lexus LS (older model, but still, it’s an LS). It was...okay. I mean, to me, it was just a bigger, faster, quieter Camry, but it didn’t feel special. In the ways that an SUV is advantaged, the LS did not have those advantages. I mean, it was nice. Objectively, there

Honestly a lot of the wagons have more space,

Hey, no hate on liking sedans, but after having owned a CUV now for 2 years, I can say that there’s a reason most reasonable, regular people like them.

What’s keeping me from shitting all over this dealership?

Depends.

That “visual concept” looks like it was slapped together on a Monday morning by someone whose entire design brief was, “Make sure you can tell it’s a Jeep charger.” The real thing won’t look like that. It’ll be a lot bigger, for one.

Leave some of the good cars for your future coworkers, why don’t you?”

My ‘96 Rav4 coupe humbly disagrees that the Honda is cuter. Also, unlike the Honda, a few were actually sold in the U.S. of A.

I’m not familiar with the south, but if he’s in a mobile home, I wouldn’t call him upper-middle class. And his $120k F-150 may be a business write off. But hey, we know what we know. And I don’t know the south.

This has nothing to do with their space program, and everything to do with the free flow of information. Russia’s FSB makes America’s NSA look quaint in comparison. Your civil liberties and right to privacy in Russia have to compete with an intelligence apparatus that shreds privacy like 1989 Mike Tyson.
