They all came with bigger engines than the Civics for sure. Even the original Civic SI was only a 1.6 to the Integras 1.8. This would have been a better car if the base engine was the 2.0T from say the RDX and the S got the Type-R engine.

If it didn’t have a giant “INTEGRA” graphic on the side I wouldn’t know it was a new model.
Just like most cyclists have an expectation not to be run over when cycling single file down the side of a quiet road because someone isn’t looking where they are going.
Except, of course, they aren’t up everywhere. Germany has a 30 year low in traffic deaths.
The fact that the road is a 60mph doesn’t give you the God given right to plough into other road users, and it sure as fuck doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be paying attention to conditions.
Plus, if the truck is actually owned by the BUSINESS instead of by Dad personally (which is likely is because that’s a popular tax dodge) then it’s even worse. Businesses go bankrupt over stuff like this.
Sure, I don’t know the circumstances of this accident. Maybe the car driver is just a fuck up.
Has it occured to you that actually most people *are* paying attention and that’s why there aren’t far more accidents; the fact that *you* clearly don’t pay attention is not a reason to ban cyclists from anywhere there are cars.
Agreed. All the copyright should be used up on 15-20 year old titles. MGS2 should be free and clear of copyrights by now. They would be if congress hadn’t extended copyright way beyond what the founding fathers intended.
In an ideal world, we’d all be laser focused on our driving and never make mistakes. Is that the world we live in? It would be great if everyone was a well trained driver and nobody ate or drank in their cars and they never touch the radio controls or their cell phone. Is that the world we live in?
It’s dangerous because YOU excuse recklessness and lack of respect on the road. The fact that you consider 60 mph “fast” says a lot.
My stance is that it’s dangerous for bicycles and cars to share the same road. Particularly high speed highways like this one. I agree bikers have an absolute right to share the road with cars.
The fact that you believe responsible driving is for wusses says a lot about you.
People like you are funny. They rail against people with a superior attitude until life slaps them in the face. You’ll be driving along just fine one day and something will distract you for a second and you’ll either have an accident or nearly have one. It happens to everyone. Pretending it doesn’t is just silly. It’s…
If you run into the back of my Odyssey, though, I’m probably going to walk away unscathed. If you run into the back of a bicycle. The driver will be killed or heavily injured. That’s the difference.
If people were consistently prosecuted for these crimes instead of being told “it was just an accident” the number of incidents would plummet. There are laws on the books but they are not enforced.
I am proposing that motorists should be held accountable if they kill anyone.
Sure but, that’s going to be cold comfort to the next group of bikers run down. I think the driver here should be charged but that doesn’t solve anything.
Is it? As long as cars and bikes share the same space, bikes will get run down. The same way cars get into accidents. Except in cars, if I rear end you, we’re probably both going to walk away uninjured. On a bike, you’re going to be dead or ruined for life, like these people.
Sure but my car is designed to protect me in a collision. Air bags, crumple zones. Seat belts that automatically tighten to pull me into the proper crash position. I’d rather be in my Odyssey in a wreck than on my bike.
