They aren’t building a new game. It surely runs on a PC as it sits right now. There should be next to no development expense.

Maybe a few trim levels, something toned down for production, even a hotter version of the base model, if we got really lucky.

Doom shipped with 4 player IPX deathmatch. And it’s the reason so many people played Doom for so long. The source ports added >4 players and client/server, etc, but DM was very much a core part of Doom from day 1.

Deathmatch was never really a part of doom.
