In fairness, weekend Jezebel is a very different commentariat than weekday Jezebel. It’s actually really striking. Weekend Jezebel comments tend to be much worse overall, and often are openly bigoted without challenge. On weekdays it is actually pretty good (for a website — always an important caveat).

This is a bit OT, but god damn, Tim Curry was the best. He is pure sex in Rocky Horror Picture Show, and pure horror in IT. He should have gotten every role in Hollywood before he got sick.

I think it’s unclear, but my guess would be the purchasing corporation wants to rebrand the sites, something that wouldn’t work well with the flagship. The content of the subsites may well shift significantly as a result (although I would bet it will shift slowly at first so as to minimize alienation with current
