Elected Republicans don’t care about anything other than the stock market, campaign contributors, and their own friends and family. It’s not affecting any of those groups right now so it’s not an issue. If the stock market dips again, there will suddenly be trillions of dollars available to address that.

I think the popularity of evangelical christianity has something to do with it. 100+ years of weirdos setting up their own churches and preaching whatever they want has had a strange effect on their adherents.

Apparently you can kill a guy with your truck, borrow the local sheriffs car, go home and clean up your cell phone records and maybe sober up, then return to the scene of the crime and “discover” the body of the man you just killed.

That’s fine - as long as the government gives me back the $280,000 I have given them over the past 30 years with a 5% compound interest rate applied

That is as designed. The GOP are planning on losing the election and then they can tell the mouth breathers that their tax problems are Biden’s fault.

I am *shocked* to find out that the “tax cut” act actually cost me a few hundred extra dollars in lost deductions.  And no, the benefits did not outweigh the removed deductions.

Do what I did:

I did my own risk assessment of suing the police department in a corrupt-as-fuck New Jersey town and decided to eat the cost.

Really? - because when the cops in Asbury Park, NJ kicked in the door of my apartment looking for someone and then left when they realized they had the wrong address, I had to pay for someone to come and fix it (I was working out of town). AP’s “finest” just got back in their cars and fucked off leaving the smashed

Who’s sitting in an office?  Now or in september / october?

The people who spread this misinformation (and I heard this last week from one of my conservative co-workers) are saying that doctors are willing to lose their license and livelihoods by lying on a death certificate to what? Make Trump look bad?

Those controls were rusted solid on my 1964 Beetle when I bought it in 1983 so I never learned to use them. Having to keep the windows open to prevent the screen fogging when it was 33 F and raining outside was inconvenient to say the least.

A friend of mine has one of these in the UK - it’s a lease through his company which gets the green tax credits so costs him almost nothing.

Magnus Walker just bought a Roller, so I expect them to become trendy and even more expensive quick soon

I had a Ford Explorer on my shortlist when I was last car shopping. So I rented one for a week. It had 800 miles on it when I picked it up from National and about 75 miles later had a catastrophic electrical failure on the interstate (which is interesting and life threatening at the same time). After that happened

My experience with Ford would suggest they are not much better than FCA

You know they are desperate when they are citing yet to be released models as advantages.

And, by the way, your old manager was 100% correct.  In the late 1990s and 2000s you could only do proper graphic design on Macs.  Source: my sister is a professor of graphic design with 30 years experience in the business

So you are basing your current opinion on Macs and MacOS on your experiences in the last century.

You forgot to call me a short seller
