Oh cool. Music for people who don’t really listen to music.

That absolutely not what they have been arguing.

That still doesn’t make any sense. I have no orange tears to cry for that garbage human. Just like I don’t have any sympathy for pro-capitalist sentiments that describe the desire for access to power rather than addressing and dismantling inequalities.

Absolutely.

I love how Formation ends with Beyonce singing:

No.

That doesn’t even make any sense.

Have you ever paid any attention to the lyrics of Formation? That garbage is not progressive or revolutionary.

Is there a Jezebel writer that doesn’t fit that description? This Rich dude is certainly one of the worst, however.

All of Beyonce’s music is bland.

All of Beyonce’s music is mediocre.

Compensate or overcompensate?

It’s funny that you try to call out mall emo and then try to establish authority on the subject by referencing bands like SDRE and Jimmy Eat World who are not emo bands and enjoyed by posers.

It’s the same Star Wars.

No, Anakin was totally whiny. He sucked. He was an entitled turd who should have been kicked out of the Jedi Order. Kylo Ren isn’t like Anakin. He wants to be what he believed Darth Vader was. Kylo Ren and Anakin have totally different ambitions— but his behavior really isn’t all that different from Vader, if that

Now playing

That’s because the bands you are listing are not emo. Hardcore is a style of punk.

What Kylo Ren does keeps in line with past depictions of villains we’ve seen in Episodes 1-6. He never whines. He never acts spoiled. He’s a man who is intent on becoming powerful despite the immorality of his path.

Vader is physically imposing in a way that Adam Driver is not. That doesn’t make Kylo Ren’s anger any less unhinged and dangerous (as is proved when he encounters his father).

Most of Darth Vader’s screen time in the OT is spent flipping out on subordinates. Kylo Ren spends a lot of his time flipping out. That’s where these dudes get their power.

The best wave occurred during the early and mid 90s. Most likely you’re talking about pop-punk and indie rock that is misclassified by posers as third wave.
