Dad clearly knew the practice was frowned upon. Airlines have dedicated teams for unaccompanied minors (they’re called UMs for short) and they keep very close tabs on them for obvious reasons. Losing a minor is a big deal, so yeah he would’ve had more scrutiny than a typical passenger.

Nice one!

Excellent list. Spot on about Infiniti drivers - I have no idea what it is with them, as they like to drive stupid aggressively for no reason, with a shit car.

If they did Tesla would be out of business, and that would be a good thing. Screw Elon.

I’ve done this as a nice place to relax, especially with flying being so stressful. SFO has a nice yoga room in terminal 2.

Yup - here in San Francisco you see people driving like they’re qualifying for the Indy 500. Interstate 280 might as well be called the Autobahn. Speeds have definitely increased a lot since the pandemic, along the aggressiveness. People are way too impatient. Naturally, no CHP’s out there pulling people over unless

Depending on the airport, you can get a decent deal on lounges. I had a 8-hour layover in Hong Kong years ago. I found a private lounge that provided free food/beverages, a shower and a 2-hour nap. It was about $50 or so, but it was well worth it as the area was clean, I got clean and filled up. The 2-hour nap was

That ad was glorious! Loved it! Oh I wish we had those here in the US!

I wish the airplanes had a way to just eject unruly passengers out of the plane at 35,000 feet. Problem solved. Seriously though - put this jerk on the permanent do not fly list, and make them pay the fuel bill.

I’d pay $10 per punch.

Good advice - I always keep a change of underwear/socka/shirt with me at all times in my carry-on just in case of a delay, which has come in handy several times. Delays are expected with air travel for all kinds of reasons and the best thing you can do is go with the flow.

This is what happens when car makers put too many unnecessary gizmos in cars, making them much more expensive to fix and also so complex that the average Jalopnik reader here (let alone a regular person) is unable to service their car. This is why we end up spending $500-$1000 for a $50 part that we could’ve done

WD40 has its limits and tends to just attract more dirt. I have 3-in-1 oil along with silicone/teflon spray in my workshop. They work much better than WD-40 for most applications, especially for power tools.

Obligatory:

SF resident here - there’s no voting on this, as we would’ve received a ballot by now. No idea where they’re getting this.

I initially thought it was a C64 at first.

I’m surprised by mushroom jerky. I just looked at the reviews and a couple of them here hilarious.

I’m sure there’s a lot of various reasons why this has gone up. Some thoughts that come to mind:
1) I’ve noticed that people are driving faster and a LOT more aggressively as of late, especially from 2021 during lockdowns. Less people on the road, more people hitting the accelerator.
2) Lack of enforcement by police;

Yes he was.

Take your star! I was waiting for this!
