Reminds me of this old classic BMW ad that got a lot of attention:

Sounds like an east coast version of the old Stanford band. I loved watching them and all of their antics. Sadly they had to clean up their act.

Well done! Take your damn star!

My dad did a trade-in because his truck was in great condition (just 15 years old but otherwise ran extremely well) and the dealer was willing to pay $5000 for it when it was really $2500 at best. That worked out better for him.

I’ve called in dangerous/drunk drivers, and never thought twice about it.

I thought he retired already! Damn - 46 and he’s STILL kicking? Damn! Respect.

Another alternative - go back to playing at Kezar Stadium. It’s small enough to hold their home game attendance and transit friendly.

I tried out Beyond Beef (my wife is vegetarian), and it was disgusting. It smelled like cat food no matter how I cooked it (gross!), and it also gave me a very upset stomach. Sorry - I’ll take the real thing instead, just eat less of it.

Phones in China have had dual-SIM slots for years, which is a great feature. Not having a micro-SD card slot for expanding storage is ridiculous.

Agreed. That was a perfect throw. He was already past 3rd base at full speed by the time Rosario threw it. It was a good decision because the odds of being tagged out would be very low at best, and forced Rosario to make a great play. Well done.

My first real job out of college was doing technical support at a scientific software company. Yeah the job kinda sucked and didn’t pay very well but I learned a hell of a lot about working with customers, dealing with difficult sitiations and it also taught me what happens when you fuck up when developing software. Yeah, I know what you mean about DACs - most pretty much sound the same. No sense spending big bucks.

I know some who do just that!

Only the most hardcore audiophiles will ever see the value on headphones that cost $2000+. You would need a $10,000 stereo setup to get the most out of them. A good set of Sennheisers, Bose, Sony, etc. for only $150-$400 (depending on what you’re after of course) will give you plenty of bang for the buck.

As a professor, often we’re just fine with the previous edition as the concepts will literally remain the same and only the problems change slightly. Ask before you purchase of course. You can often get the book from students who just took the course, as they’re more than happy to get rid of them.
