When I worked near Google, they had entire dumpsters full of their bikes - nothing wrong with them either. Just thrown away for no reason. We even called them up and no one gave a shit. We were so tempted to grab some and donate them for local kids to have bikes.

I actually had this happen to me in a baseball game. People were laughing until the ball was caught by my teammate when the ball bounced high and slowed down enough.

Lose that fucking shitty background music! I just want to hear that sound from the car!

Zubaz FTW!

We had an old Mazda B-2000 truck. It was a complete crap wagon but it worked like a champ.

For San Francisco, all of Fisherman’s Wharf. Overpriced food, junk gifts and other items you can easily get elsewhere.

Damn - that’s a very long term CD. I think my parents could’ve gotten a 10 year CD but they decided that 5 years was enough, and didn’t want to hold it up for too long which made sense. Excellent job my your dad by planning on having CD’s mature on a step-ladder like system, especially when that was for college. Well

I put money in several CD’s when interest rates were 4-5%, and it helped a lot. It was out of sight and out of mind, and helped when I ended up buying a house. My parents had a 5 year CD when interest rates were 19%, and that bank was so happy when it matured.

Just watched the video and read up on the story. Holy fuck!

When I get on a plane, I find my seat, put my bags up and sit down. Then watch the carnage unfold. :) I make sure to pee well before I get to the gate too, otherwise you’re stuck waiting for a while.

Anyone can make steamed milk at home. As for the cost per cup, hell if I know. If you think Starbucks is expensive, try Philz Coffee. Every coffee drink is $5 and up. Mind you it’s drip and individually made, but still...

Two words: tomato sauce

Drop your Starbucks bill to $0. I make my own coffee at home.

It was the 1997 Car of The Year from Top Gear. Here’s the video with Tiff Needell driving like a lunatic:
