Disclaimer: I worked at Wolfram Research 20 years ago. I used Mathematica when it was version 1 and the notebook idea was great. When the most recent version of Jupyter notebooks was being embraced as the latest thing since sliced bread, I was thinking “Wow - you’re barely doing what we did at Wolfram over 20 years

Yikes! I’ve been on coach Chinese trains that look better than that.

Having ridden DC Metro, it makes Bart look great by comparison. That’s a low bar.

Now playing

Reminds me of this old F1 classic fight with Nelson Piquet:

Nice - I went on a ski trip year ago with a group from Illinois to Winter Park, CO. We caught the CA Zephyr at Galesburg IL, and got on board. Had a great time with the observation car, especially when going from Denver. Beautiful scenery and we were taking lots of pictures. All of us slept very well.

For San Francisco it’s the Exploratorium.

Yes - sometimes it’s worth it just for the sleep! That was so true for that flight I took because I was a wreck and ended up sleeping half the flight. Felt sorry for the guy next to me because i was snoring like a chainsaw...

I flew from DFW to SFO and the entire economy section was packed. I was stuck in a middle seat toward the rear. They announced at the gate they had one seat in first class open. I asked about the price - $149 to upgrade. I took it. Yeah, got a better seat, got some sleep and drank my share of booze before landing.

People pee in the elevators, and crap on the escalators.

We have an unwritten rule for escalators when using public transit in the Bay Area: Walking on the left, standing on the right. No problems.

Just ask Rubens Barichello - he was literally paid to lose at Ferrari.

Something nice about Frontier? What is this craziness? I remember when they were a great airline. Memories....

Yeah - I remember that all too well!

Yeah - makes you wonder. :)

This is why people don’t recycle anymore. First we’re told to crush cans, then not to crush cans. MAKE UP YOUR FUCKING MINDS!!!!!

People still use WinRAR?

Yes - there are a lot of engineers in Huntsville. NASA has a big center located there.

Reminds me of a joke from a Stanford alum: “It’s harder to get in than it is to graduate”
