Don’t buy one in the first place - problem solved.

What type of brush are they using? If they’re the el-cheapo versions then yeah, that would be a problem. I’ve never had an issue. Then again, I also make sure that the grill is always clean before I slap anything on it.

Thought of this too!

Yes - it’s always a fun time.

The Presidio is always fun. I go there a lot.

You’re right about Aquarium of The Bay. I was dragged there once and was very underwhelmed. I was like “that’s it?”. For the money they charge you’re better off at the Academy of Sciences or Monterey.

You’re right about the panhandlers. Some colleagues I know refuse to come to any more conferences in SF because of homeless, panhandlers, and of course the lovely smell of urine/feces.

If you’re at Market St. then yeah, forgot it. Some people use them on the other lines for commuting, but for the most part yes it’s a tourist trap. I would agree with you on that.

For San Francisco, I would include the following which are a waste of time and money. Parking can be a real bitch as well:
- Chinatown
- Pier 39/Fisherman’s Wharf
- Ghirardelli Square
- Union Square
If you want a better Chinatown experience go to Clement Street between 2nd and 12th Ave. The food in that area is a lot

I’m leaning towards #2. I’d be interested to see the reaction (or lack of) on this.

Obligatory. KCET has some videos about Chavez Ravine.

My house, especially when you look at rent in SF. Currently the median is going for around $3,700 for one bedroom, $4,300 for two bedroom. Ridiculous. So glad we bought in SF when we did.

You’re probably better off getting it from Amazon but I’ve seen it at some Walgreens stores. YMMV.

Styptic pencils FTW! They work wonders. Yes it stings a bit, but it stops the bleeding very quickly. I’ve used it for small cuts outside of shaving too. Always part of my first aid kit.

Obligatory clip from The Pentagon Wars about the Bradley:

First thing that came to mind! Take your star!

Short answer: a lot. Almost to the point of being exclusive on that airline only.

Back in 2008, a Qantas flight was forced to make an emergency landing because of coffee grounds being dumped down the drain. There were other issues as well which compounded everything.
