More stars! I’ve had too many instances of this over the years, especially in college.

Well done!

I didn’t know their names (not that I care anyway), but it definitely seems like ESPN gets a boner with UConn, kind of like the the Yankees and Red Sox. Given your explanation, that nails it.

I watched the ending on ESPN3. Yeah - that was a grade A flop. That was incidental contact at most. What was with that stupid commentator? Sounded like she was rooting for UConn the entire time.

Yeah that would be a slight problem. At least we can fantasize about it though...

I love how you handled it. Personally I wish I could take a baseball bat and whack the parents upside the head a few times.

Stars in any league are given a certain status where they’re “untouchable”. Look at the NHL, NBA and others - same problem there.

I never understood why some hockey players swing their sticks in the air. So glad that most leagues require a full face shield, even college hockey. I’ve had way too many sticks in my face over the years from stupid players who should be in another sport instead.

Yeah - there’s a fine line. It’s not just kids who should know better, it’s more about the parents. Babies will cry but that can be taken care of as well.

Given some of the nasty farts I’ve left on a plane I’m surprised that I haven’t been thrown out at 35000 feet yet.

Babies are easy - they sleep a lot. Older kids should know better and I figure parents should bring books, games or something else to keep them occupied.

I would expand #4 to “crying children”. I was on a connecting flight from Charlotte to Orlando, which had a ton of kids because of Disney World.

COTD! Shut it down folks - we have a winner!

Same thing with Penn State.

Obligatory:

Yeah - that was especially true when I flew into LAX from China many years ago. The customs people were complete assholes who were on a serious power trip - yelling, swearing at people asking questions, bullying, the usual routine. All of us were just minding our business and calm, while shaking our collective heads.

Millions of more reasons why public financing shouldn’t be used for stadiums. That deal to bring the Raiders back was a joke, especially with the personal seat licenses which was a complete bomb. Then again, knowing Al Davis he probably planned it that way too knowing that Oakland would be on the hook no matter what.

I just put it in the shredder.
