It's an ambitious game... but DayZ is so in line with what makes ArmA good - the realistic engine, the entire world of Chernarus is ArmA's world - that it's hard to delineate the two. When you're playing DayZ, you're most definitely playing ArmA too.
It's $30, man. C'mon. It's good. Buy it and forgo a few pizzas.

I guarantee you SOE PC for Everquest 2 has about as much to do with the Kinect as you do, though. It was a cool idea thought up by some person in development, and it's got nothing to do with console wars.
