The knob was understandable from a progression standpoint, it captures much of the same benefits of a lever and makes it more compact, it just seemed odd... quirky but not a ‘problem’. I think I'm just becoming an old stick in the mud.

Hyperbole, it's a hell of a drug....sorry my excitement and rage apparently got the better of me.
I think the biggest issue for me on these button systems is that there’s no consistency across brands and they all seem to be throwing whatever they can at the wall and seeing what sticks.
What is this garbage?! I had no idea engineers were going to these lengths to make getting into the correct gear such a nightmare! The FCA knob was bad enough but this....what is this!?
