Legit, serious question here - is there literally anything it’s used for beyond as a list in case the draft comes back? I’m not asking about penalties for not doing it - I’m asking what it’s used for outside of its relation to the draft.

That’s stupid. I don’t mistrust her due to her gender, I mistrust her due to her actions both right now and in the past. It’s not sexist to mistrust someone who’s given you countless reasons to mistrust them just because they happen to be a woman. It’s very telling of your actual knowledge that you can’t imagine any

The woman you’re responding to was talking about the draft. Don’t be obtuse - you know that when people are talking about service requirements they’re talking about the draft, not the requirement to put your name on a list. You’re not at risk of sexual assault by putting your name on a list. You are if someone uses

It’s highly likely your definition is much more restrictive than hers. I personally would call a feminist someone who labels themselves one or espouses generally feminist views. I imagine her definition is similar.

Uh.

I don’t think it’s foolish to make that decision. If I equally supported Sanders and Clinton, I would vote for Clinton because of her gender honestly. But I don’t like how her campaign is receiving millions of dollars from big business. I don’t like her pushes towards war, especially in the Middle East. I don’t her

Ah.

Yeah, that was my point. That you can’t exchange all these things because the draft is involuntary and those other things are not.

You’re the one trying to change the definition of feminist while screaming that she’s totally gonna change the definition of feminist when you totally prove her wrong.

You’re right - if women were forced to work for those institutions and they were equally unsafe for women, there would be an equal argument. When was the last “institute for higher learning” draft, the one that forced women to walk into a dangerous situation with crazy levels of sexual assault?

You’re being obtuse so you don’t have to answer her question. If you can actually find someone that generally fights for feminist ideals in public, and also fought for no women in the draft, you would have done it already.

Condescending and tone deaf is kinda Ladyology’s only mode of speech on any topic.

I don’t think that’s likely. Remember the infighting between Obama and Clinton?

Is your goal here to change minds, or just to piss off everyone? Because all you’ve done is insult people, and I really hope that your goal wasn’t to change their minds through calling them names.

Suggesting ways to make the same thing take less active discipline is not pointless. If you really think it is, you’re making life much harder than it needs to be.

I never accused you of being angry. I asked the point of the comment and gave various potential reasons why you might have made it, one of them involving anger.

This is a stupid thing to say. If he had replaced this article with “have discipline”, it would not have been the same article and you know it. Why be so negative about advice that’s actively helping people? Seriously, I want to know - what was your goal in writing this comment? To let people know you’re too cool for

This is really missing the point in a very snarky way.

I tried to explain to an ex once the concept of the “wrong length” of pants. He was like “there really isn’t something between capri pants and regular pants, right?” and I was like “yes dear, it’s called the ‘I’m still growing but my mom won’t buy me new pants’ look.”

Just because JRPGs aren’t your style doesn’t mean that the Japanese have “lower standards”, just different. Just like a first-person shooter game will likely move console units here in the US but not be particularly big in Japan.
