Right there with you man. I’m a long time zelda fan. I’ve played them all. Only one I didn’t really enjoy was Zelda II. BotW is the first time I was really turned off by a Zelda and may actually never finish it.

The concept of third world is a bit nebulous, but the UN’s HDI puts Argentina at 45th in the world, around Hungary, Latvia, Croatia, and Russia. The US, by comparison, is 10th. Read more

Minus the Lego point, this is me to a T. I have no desire to play “exploration toolkit.” I’m an adult with a reasonable amount of disposable income - if I want to experiment, I’ll go get a chemistry kit and dick around with that. I play games for beautiful stories, wonderful art, compelling characters...not a toolkit.

This is what I was getting out of watching my brother play this and do nothing but collect nuts for an hour. Not the game for me. Thanks for being honest !!

It felt rather cathartic to read this. I was so goddamn pumped for new Zelda (esp on a handheld - I could play on the train going in to work!), but I started playing and...nothing. No excitement, no direction. I’m maybe not quite in the same boat you are, looking for set piece-to-set piece design, but I want some Read more

It’s really refreshing to finally see a candid negative opinion on this game. Kotaku has been almost suspiciously high on this game since before release. But article after article they’re describing something as awesome and I’m thinking, “that sounds just the opposite!” Read more

Yeah it wasn’t that good. I mean I get the high praise for it but after completing it it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I’ve played every Zelda game and I’d put this alongside Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, as games that have some good stuff in them but overall just feel a bit off. Read more

The DNC torpedoed Sanders. There were a couple emails and news stories floating around about it a few months ago.

Gee, the one unifying theme in all these was a dislike and mistrust of Hillary. Something much of the left agrees with. Someone remind me why the DNC pretty much anointed her as the nominee again?

I love these... However they never seem to take into account the availability of qualified people. I’d love to see more women in tech and I get lectured about it by my HR rep every time I post a job... However in the last 5+ years I’ve only had one woman apply, she wasn’t qualified. I’d have loved to have hired her Read more

I don’t care how a third of those movies are, or how good two of the remaining six are, they are not worth $70 for digital copies.
