I own the first Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray... But I watched it after a 12 hour shift and fell asleep somewhere in the middle (but woke back up). I recall it being drab but interesting, so it's worth another look.

Maybe they'd buy more if it didn't cost $20 a fucking episode...
I don't know what he watches... He's mentioned "fooly cooly" a few times though.
Because condescension really helps. I'm not too deep into the anime world, and was asking an honest question.
*crosses arms*
I love anime of the 80's and early 90's. Something about that art style, it's got a lot of nostalgia for me... Stuff like Lupin III, Detective Conan, the earlier Gundam series, I love 'em. But I do like some modern stuff too - FMA: Brotherhood, Death Note (at least up to a certain part), One Piece and Shaman King…
I see people raving about this game, but all I see is a flash-based Zelda knockoff one would usually play for free on Newgrounds.
The "cute girl anime" thing seems to be incredibly visible though. Like... I immediately think of the posters, the hug pillows, the mousepads with the tits on 'em. And whenever I go to nerd conventions, the "cute girl" stuff is far more visible than the Shonen (and whatever the more adult stuff targeted at males is…
Can someone explain this "cute girl" anime thing to me? Did it even exist in the 90's? I remember shows about international wars, police drama, super-powered men and women fighting some great evil... Where did all the sparkles and giant eyes come from? It's really alienated me from anime.
Funny story... I actually seen knock-off SNES consoles similar to these (with ugly colours) at one of those ram-shackle toys stands in the middle of Albion Centre here in Toronto (Albion Centre being a shitty mall in a very low-income part of Toronto). Oddly though, the slots didn't look to fit SNES games... I imagine…
Pretty sure there've been more posts about this game than any other game at any point in Kotaku's past.
My ideal hardware is something affordable. I loves me some PC gaming, but you "I MUST HAVE THE BEST BIG EFAR" creatures are hilarious tools. Spend under $1000, play every game coming out for the next 5-10 years at resolution that still betters everything on the consoles.
Neither Mass Effect nor Witcher 2 are 360 exclusive... A simple search on Wikipedia could tell you that. And Mass Effect isn't even console exclusive with that trilogy pack coming out soon.
Hmm. This may be the bundle I pick up. Really disappointing that it's all digital though. Physical media is worth more money, and I'm not sure I'd pay $30 (difference between the 3DS's sale price last week and this bundle) for a game I can't hold in my hands.
Uh... One game? You need to get your facts straight. MGS4 isn't even one of the five best exclusives. This isn't 2008. The you don't like the official PS3 controller, there's a wide range of high-quality 3rd party controllers that work amazing - better, even. And who that fuck plays Skyrim on a console??? It's…
Both Obama and Romney are right-wing and morons... But you probably don't know enough about politics to understand that.
And 98% of voters voted for a right-wing moron in the last US election, what's your point? Sales numbers don't sway on my opinion whatsoever.
That's why it was MY ranking of it, not yours.
