I sat through this whole boring show so I could see Olivia Colman win. It was sooooo worth it! I laugh/cried through her speech.

Noted.  But I am enjoying the format this year. Less bloat.

I think the lack of host was a great decision. A bad host is worse than no host and when was the last time they had a good host?

Idk, I’m kind of enjoying the host-free format. So much less wasted time. The songs are still a drag, though - most of them just aren’t that good.

Adam Lambert’s career started in that theatre. In 2004 there was a godawful, terribly misguided musical version of The Ten Commandments (?!) starring Val Kilmer as Moses. Overproduced doesn’t begin to describe it - they built the Nile onstage!

One of the reasons I love Helen Mirren is because you can see that she’s just like, fuck it, I just want to look pretty. She always looks like she’s having such a great time in a gown. I saw her interviewed when she played Queen Charlotte and she said she didn’t mind how many lines she had, she was just obsessed with…

Seriously! The delicate crystal beading at the neckline was so perfect and you got a better look at the draping on the side and how it looks like it was made for her.
