This show is starting to make me question my own humanity.
This show is starting to make me question my own humanity.
They way I saw it, Elizabeth told Phillip multiple ways the plan was flawed but that they had to work with the scraps at hand. So when the woman came strolling through, I thought it made sense... there was no safe site available. That unsecured parking garage was part of the Hail Mary plan and that woman has should…
I think the coldest cruelest justice for Elizabeth would be escaping prosecution by leaving behind her family to burn (because they aren’t as slippery as she is) while bearing witness to the demolition of the Soviet Republic she so loves. Then she is stuck living the rest of her life as an American with no cause, no…
I think I know what you mean on the lack of plot.... each character may be getting more room to display their own growth and motivations this season, there is little to no plot that unifies the cast and makes the viewer feel a progression week to week.
I believe his response was “not bad” afterward... then he casually reset his sleeves and left. It was so perfect.
Only on the Americans have I shed a tear while watching a father put his daughter in a choke hold... and I wasn’t sad. I was proud of his parenting.
I agree there are definitely some things that should not be lost in the wake of shifting preferences of the youts. The last thing I felt the need to buy was the Breaking Bad box set (physical media and a Pollos Hermanos apron!!)
Based on the preseason promos, there are some bodies found in what looks like it could be a safe house. At this point thats got to be the defector hockey star and family.
The face was so clearly distorted that it made me wonder what the real face was underneath. Maybe its because Ive seen Community enough that I recognized Glover’s Charlie Brown-esque profile.... big round head, little body.
....so I guess I’m the only person who didn’t really like this episode
This finale could have had some more teeth if some things had been set up or executed differently. Im on board for season 2, assuming there is one. A few thoughts:
I wondered that about Quentin too. It would be a little to predictable as a means of having these stories tie up, but at this point I welcome it to make sense of all the seemingly disparate stories going on.
The show would probably be most satisfying as a netflix drop so you can capture how all these distinctly different stories tie together without drawing it out. That of course presumes that the stories do indeed tie together eventually. If the overall plot was as engaging as say,The Wire, this pace would work..... but…
Im starting to wish that Reg had been established as a main character instead of Brandon. He’s way more interesting and takes control of his storyline (for better or very much worse). I know he is supposed to be the most developed representation of gang culture in Chicago (an angle ripe enough for its own series) but…
Seriously, Emmet should know better than to post up on a ducked-off corner to make $10k in cash sales WITHOUT PROTECTION. And thats regardless of the product and its legitimacy. I know Emmet is not one to pick up a gun, but he’s well aware that “this is Chicago, everybody’s got guns”. So a smart salesman who wants to …
I didn’t catch her dark skin slander. Was it in Bodak? While I can understand the words coming out of her mouth, I still pay little attention to what it is she says causes she doesn’t strike me as someone I should listen to closely. Being intellectually irrelevant doesn’t make it okay for her to say wtf-ever but I…
Big Sean made that song and put Onika on it. Shit was trash imo... but I fuxwit Bodak Yellow. Probably much to do with me being a fan of the Cardi B persona and the fact that, yes, the beat knocks. Plus I can understand what words she is saying unlike 90% of the new rap I hear.
Star for bringing Knuck If You Buck (Boi) back from the deep recesses of my mind, and “Stilettos. Pumps. In. Tha Club.” with it
In the Magary Funbag (pause) somebody asked what to do with leftover bacon when you open a pack and cant eat it all. Somebody said “give it to your neighbor”. All I could think is who in the fnck would accept neighbor bacon!?!? I don’t know my neighbors like that. And even if I did, theres still a negative hunnit…
Is it butt or buck naked? Which is correct? I think it’s butt.
