I’m really curious what fuels this speculation. Is it because he is a pitcher that can hit for power? Looking at him—even in the body issue of ESPN the Magazine—he doesn’t really look that mind blowing. In terms of pitchers, he is an excellent shape and has excellent physique. But I look at him and say eh.

Funny how we may all argue and differ on the idea of the “Best” car, but we all tend to agree on the “Worst.”

You missed Kawhi.  Lowry is better then DeRozan, I’d put Paul George over him also if he tries his hardest.

Yeah, they’re a decent example. I’d also submit the last few seasons of the Spurs, with the caveat that they’re a hell of a lot better than the “normal” team in this situation, putting up historically great regular seasons. Also peak Grit ‘n’ Grind Grizzlies.

In the “shut up about defense” post I mentioned my belief that some teams get high seeds because they’re so good that they can play well below their ceiling, particularly in terms of defensive focus, and still beat most people on most nights, and other teams get high seeds because they’re always going full out. “These people have awful names.”

It was sold out and I’ve heard they’ve sold a ton of season tickets. They’re playing at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd until the Falcons stadium is done in like August I think.
