There’s also the bit where Tesla, like most tech companies, has a bunch of people on H1-B visas - for those folks, the visa is tied to that particular job with that particular employer. Which is a bigger issue, as there’s a fair bit of exploitation stemming from that system. But would explain why a bunch of people on

Didn’t he initially get a lot of attention because he was doing dumb crap like illegally parking and blocking traffic?

Whether he wants to admit it or not, buying this monstrosity IS an attention seeking move.

Might go back but I would be 100% ghosting and job hunting.

The truest assessment of character is how someone treats people he views as beneath him.

I totally agree with your sentiment, but you got to remember these guys are probably working in CA and have like $5k/month rent or insane mortgages plus other bills. It can easily take 3-6 months to find a new job, too. I remember that Chargepoint also had layoffs this year, so it’s not like there is a huge demand

There’ no fucking way I would go back to a company that fired me on the whims of a child. This is the kind of business strategy you get from a guy whose reaction to opposition is ‘Go fuck yourself’, or as he put stupidly put it, ‘G. F. Y.’

At this point, power output seems almost limitless, especially with EVs. Aerodynamics is a well-established discipline, and much of the electronics hardware controlling these monsters is pretty familiar territory too.

Problem is we need housing for people who can’t afford $500k+ homes.

While the drivers do take a lot more impact than they would in a car with proper crumple zones, the big issue is that also means they transfer a lot more energy to whatever they’re crashing into.  So while the Tesla driver signed up for this, whoever they’re hitting didn’t

IIRC the Citroën systems all move the wheels longitudinally so wheelbase varies slightly but not track width. Various kneeling systems also move lengthwise. Now in the real world on dirt, shifting the tire sideways shouldn't matter but I have never heard of any other systems damaging a floor.

You nonchalantly slipped “salvage title” in that description hoping we wouldn’t notice, didn’t you?

The adjustable ride height apparently moves the wheels laterally

Watched Hoovies Garage, and I’m a little frightened by how easy some of those tabs broke. I can’t say this vehicle was well designed, more of here is a shell, just fit everything in there...

DON’T U DARE SUGGEST THAT PERFECT BABY CYBERTRUCK HAS NO CRUMBLE ZONES!!1 THE DRIVERS ARE THE CRUMBLE ZONES AND ARE PROUD TO SACRIFICE THEMSELVES TO ALMIGHTY SPACE KAREN.

USPS doing 105mph: “Is there a reason you were going so fast? he-he. You just blew by me faster than that Mustang, lol. Oh well, I’ll give you a warning this time. You have a blessed day now, m’am”

I came here to see if anyone else said the same.

I thought the USPS was immune from local traffic laws while on the job. Driver shouldn’t have stopped and continued along her route with a police escort in tow

It doesn’t help that the US has an entire political party dedicating a huge portion of their identity to eliminating EVs, creating a complex and confusing regulatory environment for OEMs.
