Thinking of what a “normal” interest rate is for people under ~37 versus those who were old enough to understand what was going on in 1970s/80s is a weird exercise these days. Historically speaking, interest rates have basically been non-existent since 2007.

I also had a 2001; other than the wheel hop (fixed with some rubber filler) and the crap rev range, it was a hoot. Miss that car.

I owned a 2001 SE-R SpecV back in the day and have been waiting for Nissan to make a true successor since they replaced that body style in like 2007, and I am still waiting... This is not it. Looks like a normal Sentra with Recaros tossed in. Don’t care if it has a huge turbo, looks boring and a good looking car is

To me the question changed. It was “high Mileage Hero” and then it became a “forever car”. These are two different vehicles.

Aye! Something I can speak on! Now, as a 6ft7 dude who’s basically all legs, I’ll throw my MK2 Supra (Or Celica Supra) into the mix. I’ve had 2. And with a few modifications, (smaller steering wheel) I fit great. The 5MGE is pretty damn reliable. But you can always 2JZ or 1UZ swap it and there’s full instructions on

This was a surprisingly comfortable coupe for a tall person. Now this guy has about 5" on me (ha!), but I believe anything short of wearing a helmet will be fine, the seat goes fairly low and back far enough for me at least...Don’t worry about the budget, you’ll work that out, just don’t tell the wife for about 10

I love how there’s a comment like this in every article about an off road truck/suv that assume if someone takes care of a vehicle that means they aren’t using it.

‘22 Bolt owner here.

I just wonder how this will stand out against other EVs. You can’t differentiate an EV from another based on transmission/engine sound and feel anymore. Maybe the steering and suspension tuning, but that can be had for any other EV too.

If I was planning on keeping something for 50+ years, I’d be buying a base Toyota Tacoma. With fewer things to break and cockroach-like reliability, I’d be enjoying the functionality and not spending increasing amounts of time just trying to get things fixed.

I’ve heard these Turo nightmares before. I’d love to see a class-action against them because you know this is some systematic bs.

Usually those people attended the University of Shit My Dad Said

Yoooo, Turo is hell. I have rented though them without any issues for a long time. Super pleasant until there was the one time where something went wrong. Turo 100% protects the hosts of the vehicles and loves damage claims because they stick 20% on top. Its free money to them and the more the hosts scam the more they

Something is fishy. First off $35K for windows is off the chart expensive. And then why was only this car damaged? I can see what appears to be at least 8 vehicles in total just in that video clip. Why only this one car? And why was it done with such seeming purpose?

Always get the insurance. Always. Sooner or later you’ll need it, and you’ll be really glad you had it. One incident will likely cover all the costs have and will ever spend on rental insurance and then some.

They can’t be that savvy if they opted to elect not to get coverage on the car and also not check with their own insurance to see if the car would be covered. I’ve rented from Turo 3 or 4 times, and in each case, it was worth it to me for peace of mind if nothing else, to get the coverage. And I’ve rented everything

If his insurance doesn’t cover it and he declined the LDW then he’s on the hook. He can pay the $35k, or he can get an attorney to negotiate a settlement if he thinks the true cost of glass replacement (+ owners loss of use, pain & suffering, etc.) is less.

I’m afraid we’re doomed. People as a whole are not entirely going to change any of the things that are killing us slowly. I think greed now, is more potent than a possible doomed society in the future.

I hear a lot of anti-EV comments about the difficulty of building out charging infrastructure. I’m quick to remind folks that as a country, the US has been running electrical lines for 100+ years.

New cars are expensive, and water is wet. Further, I would argue that EVs are cheap. A Bolt (which for 99% of its life will be charged at home for pennies) will have a long life of not paying an annual fuel cost of a whopping $5k (according to JD Power). Considering its size, that may be a tad high.. If you drive the
