I have no idea why I feel this way, but I feel like the 2004-2008 Acura TL has aged pretty well. Especially in Type S trim.

Chill bro. Porsche engineers also spent millions of hours trying to make the rear engined 911 as good as it is, when they could just put the engine in the middle and call it a day. Which is exactly what they did for their RSR racecar. So even Porsche knows they’ve been polishing rear engined turds for decades.

Earnest question (that I’m sure I could find with Google, but I feel like asking here): what is the case FOR wheel bolts? I know BMW often uses them too (and I’m assuming others). They make mounting a wheel a bit more challenging, but surely there are some positives too them, right?

These BMW’s look obnoxious, they must’ve hired the designer of the 4th gen Prius as a consultant. I bought a Lexus several years ago and while I could’ve afforded one of the newer ones with the predator face, instead I got the generation before that that just looked like a nice car. Why pay more for an ugly car?

Looking back at the Bangle butt 7-series and I’m still turned off - time does not fix all things.

Conceptually they are right - there are many examples of cars that were not particularly well-regarded at launch that become desirable later. The A90 Supra is indeed a great example of that, and I think people (myself included) came around on those when they started showing up in the wild. Conversely, the C8 looked

I have seen a lot of these on the freeway and it seems they must have issues with oil consumption. Every other one I see emits large quantities of blue smoke.

Problem is that engine - the N63 was a time bomb with a pile of issues (if you look at the carry over between the N63TU (technical update) and non-TU engines, it’s basically the displacement and V form factor), none of which are cheap or even sane to do. It eats the PCV system. It eats the EGR system. It eats... well,

The only way to survive this car is to feature it in a YouTube series about how it financially ruins you. Or at least that’s primarily what shows up on my recommended list.  I don’t think even Hoovie would touch this thing.

I was able to test drive a Mach-E as part of an EV showcase put on a few minutes away from me, and its legitimately one of the nicest and fastest cars I’ve ever been in.

The Mustang is the most absurd car to ever claim as sacred by any enthusiast. It started as a re-bodied falcoln with a straight six, was slowly transformed into a sportier car and eventually a gigantic monster muscle car. That period of time which established the iconography of the car was less than 10 years in total.

I don’t mean to brag, but I have something in common with a Lexus. We both have tiny Speedos!

This is a good question. Having sold Mustangs for over 23 years (from ‘97-’20) and driven so many as they got better and better in terms of handling and ergonomics. I’m in the camp that a Mustang will always be a Muscle Car to me (not raking anything away from the S550, as it’s an amazing car but that is a sports car

The SVO. I feel like it was created to piss people off.

IMHO it’s pretty wild to assume that Tesla’s, or even EVs in general, are bought by MAGA folks. I’d argue that those generally on the far-right are anti-EV.

You and me both, buddy. In my case, it got vetoed by Mrs. Orca in favor of a Focus.  I’m still giving her the sad puppy face.

Armed Black man rolls into a rich neighborhood to pick up white women? I hope that picture is a paid actor because if he’s really a driver, he’s getting murdered by the police soon.

“Get in a car with a gun-toting stranger!”
“Oh no, that sounds unsafe!”
“Pay some internet weirdo money to get in a car with a gun-toting stranger!”
“Wow, I can’t afford NOT to!”

Yes. You just described what a news aggregator does. Well done.
