I have a desk/workbench in my garage where I can work and hang out with my car. I’m not rich, I just like being around cars. Savagegeese has an entire office and entertaining area in his garage.

The Stinger was great on paper, but fell flat in the real world. The handling and interior was nothing close to what you’d find in an Audi. Nor was the drive train, for that matter. It has awesome seats though.

Man EVs just all have the same experience outside of acceleration.

Pikes Peak Escudo from the first Grand Turismos.

But do you prefer the design of the C5?

but even still after taxes,

If everyone followed that advice the car market would essentially collapse.

His popularity is from people who are doing better than others to listen to how bad they have it.

I’ve never liked Ramsey. Even when his advice has a sprinkle of correctness, he still delivers it in a manner intended to shame people. His views are (perceived) mismanagement of your money is something that you deserve to be punished for.

I’m not surprised. I think a lot of old Jalopnik readers don’t realize just how much the tide has turned against manual transmissions among enthusiasts. It seems like the moment someone drives a sporty car with a great automatic, they see how inferior manuals are.

I think most of this issue has to do with the low volumes of some EVs, rather than the fact that they are EVs. The interviewee points out that they don’t have issues pricing Bolts because they sell in sufficient numbers. Pricing a Rivian R1T is akin to pricing a McLaren 570S. Aside from insane standards for situations no owner would ever encounter, like requiring the Phaeton to maintain an interior temp of 72 degrees in 122-degree weather while going 150 mph

When it comes to car theft in the UK, it seems as if the cops are as good as useless, with less than 1.5 percent of all reported car thefts in the country resulting in any kind of charges being brought forward.

Why? I don’t know. I really don’t know.

Yeah, I haven’t kept up on prices for these.  But that’s totally believable.

Why would they make the t-bird a sports car? It spent the prior decades as a Slightly Nicer Mustang, and before that it was a Gigantic and Slightly Nicer Mustang.  A 70s T-bird is longer than a modern Chevy Tahoe, and not by a little bit either (it probably weighed more too).

Sure, you COULD do it, just don’t know how easy or hard it would be.

A80s buyers have always been less concerned with originality and use. Modifications and normal wear & tear wouldn’t really impact the price much. This was the kind of car that was expected to be driven hard.

A baseless statement. The cheapest Model 3 on cars.com right now is $19K.
