I’m assuming the engine is a 2.0L. That power figure from a 2.0L turbo is pretty good. That matches the 3.0L offerings from BMW.

The Wrangler is the universal image vehicle. No other vehicle is like the Wrangler. Men like them, women like them, kids like them, old people like them, Californians like them, Texans like them, etc.

It may not seem like it from the outside, but I’m pretty confident that the Supra has the same usable space as this concept. It looks like they sacrificed a lot of space for that flat load floor.

There was some debate as to whether the new Taco was going to keep the leaf springs or move to coils based on the profile images that came out a bit ago.

The Tacoma has never been the most objectively appealing truck in the segment. It’s pretty much always been worse, more expensive, or both, depending on trim.  Especially 10 or so years ago when an mid trim Taco was on par with a domestic full size after discounts.

Toyota managed to get almost 20 years ago with the old 1GR-FE V6 (245hp and 282lb-ft).

. Probably counted on it.

This is Toyota playing politics to cover up the fact that the Toyota struck out with the eTNGA platform and are not going to produce the entire fleet of “bZ” products that was promised to be on the road in 2025.

They are a bit more complex than an ICE only vehicle.

GR86 Prime would be something..

One thing not mentioned is that they fucked up the eTNGA platform so badly that they are already working on a complete replacement. This is probably why we’ve not heard much about 5 of the 7 “bZ” vehicles that are supposed to be launched in two model years.  I’ve heard Toyota has shifted resources to this replacement

I voted ND, but I do agree with you. These are rare enough to justify the price. Especially seeing as the target audience for this car is middle aged guys who lusted over S4 Avants as teens and are now wealthy enough to afford a fleet, but isn’t interested in collectors cars.

Isn’t that the point? We do call them “sleepers”.

ND. And I say this as a guy who owned a B5 Passat wagon when I was younger and lusted after this generation S4 like crazy. I even had those six-spoke wheels on my Passat (it was a fully debadged poseur S4).

, and fines like those for drunk driving.

I’m sane, and I have a problem with it.

That’s what lawyers are for.

Exactly. People always hail draconian laws as a way to finally Solve Crime.

I imagine the number of people willing to commit grand theft auto for the sake of doing donuts in an intersection is pretty low given that the underlying rationale for such an action is “my car won’t get crushed if I am caught.”

It’ll fart on upshifts
