FWIW, I think you made the right choice. In real world driving, the M3Cx is probably going to be so much better, since you’ll be turning all that gasoline into acceleration, rather than just noise and tires smoke.  Glorious noise, to be sure.

I wonder if it’s related to emissions and/or MPG testing.

This is the answer. It’s cheap, comfortable, readily available, and will last for a while.  Plus, resale value on Accords with 100s of thousands of miles is good.

The four-banger Stinger sucks. And the AWD GT is too much of a muscle car. I really wanted to love the Stinger, but there’s a reason it was a sales flop - it’s just not a great car.

Boring. I’ll wait to see one in person, but I bet these lack the presence of the previous gen. I get that the non-target demographic hated the previous gen, but I feel like the target demo love the styling. We’ll likely never know whether or not Nissan’s volume plan worked, thanks to the brand grouping the Rogue Sport’s sales numbers with the regular Rogue. It likely doesn’t matter though, as I’m sure no one, including Nissan, is going to miss it.

Feel like it’s going to require a complete rethinking of “just-in-time” production methods.
