It shows that people wanted them that badly- and just look about the net for the cries of anger at Apple's decision. It's not like people were like "Meh w/e" and left it at that- it was still one of the most popular music players to be bought and used.

All runs back to the fact I don't want a fancy expensive phone- here in the UK all that kind of stuff is very expensive, and I can't justify shelling out that kind of money at once. I don't need a new phone, I don't want one- I just want something that plays music.

That's all well and good- however like I have mentioned. I don't want a fancy OS device, I don't want to pay out the ass for services and features I'm not going to use. Nearly all of my music collection are from CDs too, and paying for lossless...knowing Apple will just cost even more =/

As someone with a large music collection (no I don't give two shits about streaming, nothing to do it on, nor the desire) space is the key point.

Mine has a failing headphone port :( So I can't use it out and about anymore...but I still use it to play music at work on a dock, works a charm! 160GB storage...perfect! I have over 550 albums (most of them CDs too) and I've still got a tone of space to go!

How about not killing off one of their well loved products?
