Oof, for once I’m drawing a blank on a gaming topic. I do things pretty close to by the numbers when it comes to playing games. I guess mowing down people in a hospital is “playing GTA wrong” but the whole appeal of the game is that it lets you engage in that kind of free-form carnage. If that counts, I suppose I’d

My copy of Super Mario Odyssey is scheduled to arrive today and that will be my whole weekend. Or it would be except we have a big deadline at work on Monday and I have to test a feature that the developer hasn’t completed yet. So I might need to work over the weekend unless the developer happened to code it

Retronauts covered Super Mario Sunshine recently and one thing I learned is that the game was made in about a year and a half. I have major problems with game similar to yours. So much of it seems rushed and unrefined.

Definitely Nintendo Power. They had a guide you could order. I even managed to memorize the patterns for the card matching game! Other than that you could talk to other kids, but I don’t remember learning much from them. I was odd one who was way too into video game without “Madden” in the title.

On the DVDs they say their trick was to fight for stuff they know would never make it on air so they could win on stuff they really wanted. So I assume originally this episode was about who could go the longest without anal.

Mick Jagger did that with Mackenzie Phillips

Oh! Here’s something I learned from Nintendo Power: Demon’s Crest sold horribly, so much so that one week its sales were negative. That meant more people returned the game than bought it!

I wrapped up Samus Returns last night. I’d say it was a 7.5/10. If I could offer one bit of advice to someone playing it for the first time, you should only backtrack for items at two points: after getting the Super Missiles and after getting the Power Bombs. I never ran out of missiles (or even got close) after I had

You can’t even beat it on the Wii U GamePad?

So many great Halloween/cosplay costume ideas in that trailer.

Yes, I love Seinfeld but that theme is terrible. At least it’s distinctive, for better or worse.

I finished Cuphead last night. I stumbled upon a glitch with King Dice where he stopped attacking, so that victory felt kind of hollow. But I was sick of going through 4+ fights to lose to him anyway so whatever. Maybe I’ll go back and beat him properly. The Devil was surprisingly easy. Not a cakewalk, but I spent a

OKCupid’s blogs about race are very interesting. Black people are twice as likely as other races to mention religion in their profile and 13 of the 50 most commonly used phrases by black women refer to their religion.

Oh this takes me back to 15 years ago when all these (white) people were saying “Eminem got me into rap” and they suddenly discovered that all that music they’ve been dissing for years was actually good. I just had to roll my eyes at them while they geeked out over ‘discovering’ Jay-Z and Tupac.

And prosecutors will go out of their way to eliminate any black jurors that show up in a jury pool. They know it’s harder to get a conviction with them. http://www.wnyc.org/story/object-anyway

If I worked at McDonalds and knew some idiot would pay more money than I make in a month for a some crappy sauce and a poster I’d hoard it too.

This is a 2-day old tweet, did that really warrant another story about this?

This is basically what my position has become. If Steven Universe, a show that promotes acceptance and being kind to each other, can have a fanbase as toxic as its is, then just about anything can. Ru Paul’s Drag Race, another show I love, has an ugly, racist portion of its fan base.

Someone posted on Twitter the other day that Yoshi’s Island sold 4.12 million copies, which is definitely a lot more than I expected

I thought it never reached the heights of season 2 and is roughly even with season 1.
