Wow, I didn't know about that part. Some of them looked damn near impossible.

How do you feel about the end of Nintendo Badge Arcade?
It's funny I remember feeling hopeful, but not over-the-moon happy after the Jan. 12 Switch presentation. Since then Zelda was goddamn phenomenal, ARMS turned out to be better than expected (My initial reaction was "not more waggle, Nintendo, enough already"), they announced Mario Rabbids and Pokken DX, and put out a…
Two other Blackstreet songs I immediately thought of: "Don't Leave Me Girl" and "I Get So Lonely (TNT Remix)" by Janet Jackson, which features them.
Wrapped up the water dungeon last night in Majora's Mask 3D. The water dungeons in Zelda games aren't well-liked, but I think this one's the best executed, making clever use of water flow and the ice/fire arrows. Now I need to pick up the remaining stray fairy before moving on to the final area.
I think the trick is you press the jump button, then press the direction towards the other wall. But like Hardy says you only have to use it in one spot.
If you're really, really stuck I think it's totally acceptable to check a guide. Some purists consider the hint system in Metroid Prime to be heresy, but I was grateful for it. The controls do take some getting used to, not many SNES games had you firing with X and jumping with A.
Enjoy the Wii and Gamecube, there are plenty of excellent titles to get caught up on. After you finish Super Mario Galaxy, definitely play its sequel. Both games are my favorite entries in Super Mario series. After that, pick up Resident Evil 4 (Wii version or Gamecube), Okami, and Punch-Out!! Wind Waker is a great…
They patched Pikmin 3 so that you could use the GamePad's touch screen to aim and throw Pikmin. It was my preferred way to play the game. But they could easily port the game without it.
There's definitely been a push at Capcom to simplify some of the more difficult inputs. Only a few dragon punch inputs were found in the MvC:I E3 demo. Most of the special move commands are a quarter circle forward/back + button. In Street Fighter they've gotten rid of tiger knee motions (quarter circle forward,…
In the matches I saw they could use assists but I never saw anyone tag out. It just moved to the next fighter when one died.
While the tutorials can be very helpful (particularly with the basics), I feel like ultimately the best way to learn a fighting game is to just play it with a guide on hand. I bought Guilty Gear Xrd and went through its tutorials and while they were very helpful, as a newbie I couldn't absorb all that information and…
It's really disappointing because I LOVED the sprite work on the old-school Vs games. Brightly colored X-men and other Marvel characters fighting against backgrounds that look like they're ripped straight out of the cartoons.
When I showed my dad Street Fighter II growing up I suggested he pick Chun Li because she's supposed to be good for beginners and he said "I'm not playing as a girl". So it's not just dumb teenagers.
If you got an iPad and s/he likes blocks you might as well get them Minecraft. Kids love that stuff.
I agree with others that it's pretty hard to be transgressive these days. If you're 'different' you can find your niche on any number of sites out there. I worry that Drag Race's move to VH1 will sand off its edges even more. The Logo website has a few clips that should've made it into the show, but I can't help…
It's a tricky thing. I love that there are so many sidequests and things to see literally from the start of the game, but sometimes you want to do something and then you realize you've bitten off more than you can chew and you have to start the whole thing over. Or you wasted time on a quest you can't complete yet.
My evenings have been spent playing Majora's Mask 3D. In one three-day cycle I managed to win the Goron Race (first try!), defend Romani Ranch, and fully upgrade my sword. But I forgot to meet the older sister at Romani Ranch for her ride to town. D'oh!
I might try to join Sunday night. Is there a Discord channel?
Meeting Gau is one of the funniest scenes in the whole game. I wish we would've gotten more scenes with Gau and "Mr. Thou".
