Oh god Mass Effect Andromeda was HORRIBLE for that

I'm still getting settled into my new place so portable games are keeping me sane. Puyo Puyo Tetris and Team Kirby Clash Deluxe have been my gotos. Last night I was buying a Britta water pitcher on Amazon and saw for a few more bucks I could get free one-day shipping, so I added Kirby Triple Deluxe to my cart. That…
That's the dumbest name I ever heard.
I think the cat look and those colored contacts really worked in Nina's favor. When Nina opened her eyes it pulled my attention more than Aja's dance moves.
Yesterday I played Real life 3D Tetris by packing up all my belongings into a Pod and moving to New Jersey. Now we're sitting in a hotel room trying not to let our dogs drive us crazy before we close on our new home later today.
I hope it gets a Switch port because that GamePad co-op was too choppy and low-res for me to enjoy it. Now two Switches online/local co-op could work (or maybe even split-screen given the Switch's added horsepower).
I'll be wrapping up Shovel Knight: Spectre of Torment. I'm really enjoying the game and loving the sprite art. It's much easier than the 'main' campaign and Plague of Shadows thanks to two things: 1) Spectre's air attack lets you repeatedly hit enemies without much risk and 2) That armor that lets you take damage…
The Propeller Knight fight infuriated me because I lost nearly all my money when I fell into the pit and the money bags spawned underneath the stage. Happened multiple times.
I really think the difficulty spike to get to the Hammer is the biggest 'weeding out' point in the game.
When people were outraged by Little Man and White Chicks, Marlon's defense basically amounted to "these are the movies we can get funding for". I get the feeling he's been pigeonholed, at least partially due to the limited roles for black actors in general.
I feel the same way about Marlon Wayans.
Metroid games don't sell as well as their other franchises for some reason. I know it's more popular in America than in Japan so that might be a factor too.
I'm not a fan of motion controls but
Most good indie games fit this IMO. Nidhogg is popular and it looks like something from the Atari 2600
What got me is that, at least in the early game, most tasks required you to walk maybe a minute to a cave and fight a few enemies. I know large, empty worlds can be a pain, but you also lose a sense of scale by making the trip quick and easy.
I spent two hours reading tutorials and never picked it up again.
I put 30 hours into Ni No Kuni before concluding I wasn't having fun and wasn't invested in the story at all. Also I had enough of my characters wasting magic by buffing the party right before I land the final blow on an enemy.
The whole eating disorder conversation rang hollow for me because in some of the early seasons Ru would have lunch with the top 3 queens and the 'meal' would be one jellybean on a plate. The gag was funny (as was Raja's "What is this, Thanksgiving?"), but to act like it's A Serious Issue now just feels false.
I got p!ssed the second Xavier accepted their invitation to dinner because I knew they were gonna die.
I'm one of those who flips out when someone spoils a movie/show for me so I err on the side of hiding spoilers, even for stuff 10+ years old
