I like the rest of the interior but the steering wheel looks like the yoke of a small plane. Which works really well in a plane, but only because it’s 0.5 turns lock-to-lock. And god, why didn’t they update the exterior. They’re gunning for the Dodge Challenger’s crown as the oldest car without an exterior redesign.

Wait, all of these features have been around since 2017 in the Tesla Model 3. My phone unlocks the car seamlessly and the car can detect who’s in the driver’s seat and adjusts the settings accordingly. Why does this require new hardware in phones?

It’s had 55kW “fast” charging since they started making them, but it’s a $500 extra on everything until the 2021 models, I think it’s standard now. Not really true fast charging, but enough to do 80% in about 50 minutes.

Oh it’s a lemon, but I love it anyways. 2015 V6 4WD base model, all black, long bed crew cab. I wish I could’ve gotten the manual but it’s a great truck anyways. I’ve spent about $7,500 in repairs on it though.

Yeah, Teslas right now are literally no heavier than their gas counterparts. They know how to engineer an EV. The Model 3 SR+ is 30 lbs lighter than a BMW 330i, while the LR AWD and Performance are 30 lbs heavier than a 340i xDrive.

No surprise here - Ford is better at cars, while Tesla is better at all the EV stuff. Personally I’d go with the Tesla (I already have a Model 3) but I suspect it will be a matter of personal preference to most people, since they both seem like very good, well-rounded vehicles.

No. Bangle cars were different, and some of them were ugly, but they had distinctive lines and approached car styling in a different way than BMW had ever done before. They inspired a lot of modern premium car design.

Well, he’s saying that nobody actually wants EVs, and I’m showing him that people will buy an EV over its gas competitors. I think it makes more sense to compare a premium sedan to other premium sedans than to a cheaper crossover.

Since when have fewer EVs been sold than predicted? Way back in 2014, Elon Musk said Tesla would sell 500k cars in 2020.
