The quick dramatic zoom to the kid whispering "quiet, quiet" kills me every time.

Hi, guys! Sorry about not commenting here in a month or so. My evergrowing school workload, combined with my not-so-subtle newfound addiction to the wonders of Letterboxd, have left me with not nearly as much time as usual to hang around these parts!

I need help reacting to something.

Ugh, I just remembered how much I still miss Enlisted.

Yeah, I'm also seeing Interstellar in 70mm IMAX! I'm worried that my eyes will be unable to handle that much visual glory, and thus will explode. That would be a bummer, mainly because I could possibly miss the rest of the movie!

For as much hate as "Fire + Water" gets, I do think that it has some really interesting imagery. The vision of the religious painting that Charlie has is what first springs to mind when looking back on the episode.

Without the beard! Oh, it's him! (the glorious Pesci chuckle rises from the depths of the inner source of Earth's wonders and terrors into the majestic edges of the universe, or whatevs)

It certainly sounds interesting! Scorsese channeling Hitchcock seems like a guaranteed watch from me! (Apologies for all the exclamation points; my enthusiasm for stuff I'm interested in can be a bit overbearing sometimes.)

I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment by praying that Chevy Chase is somehow in Mean Streets.

That one also sounds excellent from everything I've heard!
Boy, Scorsese sure seems to be quite the consistent director, huh?

Shutter Island seems very interesting, especially in the sense that it seems to be a bit outside of Scorsese's usual crime genre stuff, but I've heard really good things about it!
