i’ve been to their flagship store in los angeles...and although their store front looks cool, everything in there was “almost”. a lot of the (cheap) shit they sell is straight from santee alley, just $40 dollars more.
He lives in a 3 bedroom flat, drives a lorry to work and takes the lift to his office (which is all sixes and sevens) on the 8th floor to have a shite in his private loo. That just about covers Chris Evans from A to Zed.
Ornette changed the face of Jazz entirely. He created his own beautiful, crazy language that few learned to speak. Yet so many continue to try and that’s a great thing. The loss of Ornette and Charlie Haden in the last year has been devastating. The music they made together was some of the most unique, stunning,…
Nice. This is a great touch. Personal and intimate, yet not awash with hero-worship and false praise. Farrell’s “Why I Fixed Fights” is a hidden gem on Deadspin. I would love to read more from him.
Excellent point. I think it’s probably a bit better to go on the side of caution when it comes to food ingredients, though, wouldn’t you say?

Thanks, Beth. And the last sentence of that article?
If you're making sandwiches out of yoga mats, you're doing it wrong. Just because they LOOK like burritos rolled up...
California has a list of 800-some chemicals that it "knows" about. Many are already regulated (by the EPA, for example). The annoying thing about the California law is that it doesn't say anything about amount, so the mere presence of one of the chemicals triggers the label requirement, regardless of whether or not…
Well, that makes me feel a little bit better about the yoga mat I bought with that warning..........I guess. And eating subway sandwiches since they are made with yoga mats.
One of the most commonly-used pesticides in the world was recently declared a probable cause of cancer—but that…
