She looks like lovely company. My best alone times were when I was young and very very introverted - I volunteered to walk dogs, clean rabbit hutches, etc. I was lonely but the animal companions were there.
And she makes me get off my butt a few times a day to go for walks. That photo is the look I get when I’m 10 minutes late with the leash.
Plus, you have a sounding board that actual pays attention to you. They may not understand a word of what you say, but they are usually quite interested in the conversation. You also get the added peace of mind of not becoming that raving lunatic talking to themselves.
