Does it matter for purposes of discussion here today?
I love crawfish but I do not want to shell my own crawfish.
Everyone puts tomatoes in their gumbo, and super dark roux is either a myth or long gone.
So does this mean I’m supposed to feel bad when I’m in a bookstore and hide Sandra Lee “cookbooks” in the horror and/or humor sections?
I hate that all of the beauty in Idaho - which is considerable - is wasted on hateful pinheads.
That sounds yummy.
I couldn’t care less about turkey on a Thanksgiving table but turkey sandwiches made with the leftovers? Yum. In fact, there are only two reasons I’d ever cook a turkey: For sandwiches and to make stock for gumbo.
I love my tiny whisk - I use it for mixing up salad dressing, mostly. I also have a couple of tiny spatulas, which I love.
Physical media still exists. Just saying.
I got a peppermint mocha this morning and I have regrets. It’s not as tasty as I recall. I don’t know if they changed the syrup or something but it’s WAY more peppermint-forward than I remember, and not in a good way.
If I order a latte with flavored syrup, I always reduce the number of pumps. It’s ridiculous.
You are my hero.
Any recipe that calls for cooking rice in a finite amount of liquid. I love the rice that I cook using the pasta method - cook it in boiling/simmering water until done then drain - but if the liquid is measured and not meant to be drained away? I can’t do it. I end up with a bunch of mushy rice and a bunch of crunchy…
So this isn’t food, much less an Oreo or a Kit Kat, but it is about a flavor: The other day I discovered Candy Cane Chapstick. Yum.
I knew about Deadspin. They better keep their paws off the rest of them.
Oh, that makes a certain amount of sense.
The Avocado is full of good people. I urge people looking for a new home to check it out.
Where else are comments disappearing?
Dare I ask? What is “cuffing season”?
