He cleans up well.

She’s torn between them.  And besides, I think she’s angry with Jamie herself.  She also feels guilty.

SPOILERS ABOUND:

Yes, you do.  What you don’t get are little squares.  You get little curvy pieces, but it doesn’t make a difference. I’m willing to sacrifice shape-ish purity so that I don’t have to cut horizontally in the direction of my left hand.

That is exactly what I do.

Also, he’s in the middle of bringing Good Eats back.  I think it starts up some time this year.

I’m still traumatized from a hip surgery that I watched once. It turns out that when you disconnect a leg from its hip joint, surgeons can move in very disturbing and unnatural-looking directions.

That’s what I do.

That’s basically the method I use but I don’t do those horizontal cuts - I’m a clumsy mess and attempting those cuts would send me to the ER for stitches.

She uses opium in the books.  She basically gets him stoned, disguises herself as BJR and lets Jamie beat her up in a drugged stupor, thus allowing him to regain some of his manly pride or something.  It was weird.

He could call Joe Abernathy, for one thing.  Or Brianna’s roommate.  They could go get him and Fiona could send over his passport.

The only way I can cook rice is to cook it like pasta. I boil it until it’s done and then I drain it.  I am incapable of cooking it based on ratios of rice to liquid.

That’s what I’m saying that I wish they had done -re-wrote the whole second half of the book.

I never understood why Roger thought Bree was so sexy when she must have constantly smelled like baby pee and stale milk.

In a book filled with implausibilities, Jamie not immediately recognizing Brianna doesn’t seem to me to be one. It makes perfect sense that he wouldn’t immediately connect her with the relatively few photos that he hasn’t actually seen in close to a year.

I feel like they could have found another way to get Ian where he needs to be in the plot without Brianna needing to be raped.

She has a group of beta readers that she has a semi-snarky name for that is something like Society of Nit-Pickers. I honestly don’t remember what she calls them exactly but one of their purposes is to catch her timing and continuity errors. She acknowledges how weak she is in keeping track of dates.

DG is very good at character moments and individual scenes. She is terrible at plots, geography and time.

DG has said that this is a book about fathers & fatherhood and what it really means. Just off the top of my head we’ve seen these relationships this season

Context.  For one thing, he lost those pictures. For another, she is the last person he expects to run into.  But once she tells him who she is, he recognizes her.
