Chick-Fil-A just isn’t that good. It’s just not.
Chick-Fil-A just isn’t that good. It’s just not.
There’s a chain in the PNW called Winco at which you bag your own groceries. I think they charge you for bags, too, but I don’t shop there unless I have no choice.
Lots of times. The reason grapes are always cited is because their appearance can be very deceiving. And because they’re tiny.
There’s no one in Scotland offering Jamie 10,000 acres.
Adawehi is the same character that you’re thinking of from the books and the exact same thing happens to the book character.
My opinion hasn’t changed. He’s still a weird little creep as far as I’m concerned.
Terry Dresbach (or someone else associated with the production) tweeted a photo of the bear suit costume and it reminded me of the monster costume from The Village.
I believe that their insistence on One Book/One Season is hurting the show quite a bit.
If you listen to Caitriona Balfe’s real speaking voice, she sounds (to my ears anyway) only vaguely Irish. Her accent when playing Claire is a lot closer to her own speaking voice than Sophie Skelton’s is. But yeah, they should have Brianna having some variant of the “transcontinental old timey movie accent” maybe…
While I was more sympathetic to Frank in the show than I was in the books, I really disliked the changes the show made to their marriage. I guess they felt they had to make it look like a terrible marriage in order to justify Claire’s choice to go back to Jamie or something but I hated it. I liked that she had a…
I find that I don’t dislike ShowBrianna nearly as much as BookBrianna, but that could change, depending on how the show handles future events.
The point we were supposed to get from it wasn’t woowoo Magical Native but woowoo Magical Claire, who is simply recognized by someone with similar powers. In the show, it’s already been established that Claire’s healing and diagnostic powers are at least slightly supernatural so this is just confirmation of that from…
There was a bad guy who was killing people but I don’t think he was dressed as a bear. It’s just that his kills were thought to be bear kills. I literally remember nothing about what happened to him.
It’s neither stupid nor annoying. It’s funny.
She makes the point several times in the books that Mohawk (and probably Tuscarora (the books don’t include the Cherokee, I don’t think)) women decide who shares their beds and when. Marriages begin and end based on the wishes of the women involved, not the men.
I think you’re exactly right about Sophie Skelton’s accent. Not only is she having to do an American accent, but she’s having to play against other actors using English & Scottish accents, which must make it a lot harder.
As I recall, she initially believes that they would relatively safe from the revolutionary war in the NC back country. Keep in mind that everything she knows about that war is Boston-centric, given that’s where Bree was going to school. She doesn’t know much about what might have happened in NC but think about it. …
The mountains of North Carolina aren’t all that significant to the revolution. It’s not like they moved to Philadelphia or Boston.
For once a rapist cannot be blamed on DG. That character is entirely a creation of the show.
No. Not yet. The worst is yet to come.
