At least when Kayla writes a sentence, it makes sense.  You might consider trying that.

Efficiency? When I think of the Outlander books series, that just isn’t a word that comes to mind.

That was a blatant popularity contest - that’s the only thing explains The DaVinci Code being on the list to begin with.

Jamie was a slave, or the closest thing to it.  To have Jamie go to the colonies and not confront it would be.... weird.  And then people would be clutching their pearls over the “whitewashing” of the colonies or something.

Because it directly relates to Jamie’s history.  He was a slave, his people were close to wiped out, etc.  Just because you move someplace new, doesn’t mean that the problems go away.

None of the characters have seen the 21st century, much less 2018.

Thank you.

I see photos of royals holding glasses of things all the time.

You could try a drizzle of truffle oil.

In the book, the first place they encounter him is Charleston, for what that’s worth.

In the book, the first place they encounter him is Charleston, for what that’s worth.

You’re assuming 1) that he’s only a “Cape Fear” pirate which is weird given that pirates tend to be highly mobile and 2) that Diana Gabaldon heard of this person and decided to steal his name.

Meh, there are billions of characters in the Outlander series. They can’t all have names as great as Fergus Claudel Fraser.

Pretty sure.

It’s not the same guy. I promise.  Outlander’s Bonnet is fictional.

Are you suggesting that the Bonnet in the show is the same person you’re talking about? What makes you think that?

And they were welcome to apply for my job, but they didn’t.  Are you suggesting that we go out and canvas the sidewalks at night to fill professional jobs?

To be clear, I don’t work at a homeless shelter. I work for a company that owns, develops and manages various flavors of subsidized housing as well as providing services to those residents to keep them housed.

Did I say it was? I said that the problem isn’t homelessness, it’s lack of mental health services.

No, I’m a professional person with skills needed to help my company stay in business to keep housing people. We are in the business of housing the homeless, not employing them. Other non-profits employ them, to the extent that they are employable
