You mean Robert Mapplethorpe, don't you?

Watching this show caused me to pay more attention to them and they have really grown on me - especially the youngsters. I'm even coming around on Charles.

William, Kate & Harry aren't old fogeys - they've actually succeeded in modernizing their roles quite a bit.

When he first started out on the FN, the set of his show resembled a bachelor pad in someone's basement. His friends would do guest appearances. One of his friends was named - and I swear I am not making this up - Dirty P. Dirty Pee. On a cooking show.
So he got off to kind of a rough start.

He gets a lot of grief about eating terrible food but if anyone paid attention to his actual cooking shows (the later seasons, anyway) they would be surprised. He cooks with a lot of kale and quinoa and farro and all sorts of healthy whole grains and vegetables.

If there is a better commenting system than Disqus, I want to know about it. I mean, yeah, it's FAR from perfect but it's closer than anything else I've ever used.

As bad as Disqus is, I haven't run across a commenting system that's any better.

I highly recommend it.

Many people will be migrating over to the AV Club After Dark Disqus channel, affectionately known as the Avocado. Come check it out - there is a thread dedicated to welcoming refugees fleeing from Kinja.

I'm extremely disinclined to give AV Club staff any grief for this - it's my distinct impression that they have no choice.

Yeah, there's a whole thing on the internet somewhere explaining various events that fulfill that particular prophecy.

each stroke (settle down), it takes quite a long time to achieve just a few inches off the ground (really, settle down).

That was glorious.

And how does any of that make Tarley's statement false?

Thanks for your reviews - I might not always agree with you but it can't be easy to put up a post only an hour or so after having seen the episode and you do a pretty great job, overall.
Idle curiosity: Do you ever wish, at say 11am on Monday, that you could edit what was posted now that you've had more time to

Thank you for saving your rant about timing for a stray observation. I mean, I get it. I do. I'm just tired of talking about it.

No. Randall Tarley said out loud, in words, that the gold was inside of Kings Landing.

Have we had a shield wall on GoT before?
