This one seems more aggressively styled and less neutral than the other Miata generations. With the long life cycle of the Miata I am concerned how this generation will look toward the end of its life cycle. I'll be very impressed if they make the face lift without changing the hood.

According to his responses on Local Motors this is an air duct running along the lower edge of the car. Unfortunately I think this is the response is now "(post withdrawn by author)."

I wish I could buy this car. Awesome deal, nett/cool car.

I just looked it up. You're right it was a repeat. The race was March 1st but it wasn't broadcasted on CBSSN until March 17th, 8:00 PM EDT and March 22nd, 11:00 AM EDT.

This made me laugh so hard.

Did you stay for the Trans AM race? It seemed really awesome on the tv coverage.

Looking at all the comments by people who can't count to 4, this will be too weird to be accepted by the public.

I think they are using weight distribution and tire size to make it handle like a square car. With the engine and transmission low in the back and all the empty space up front I am guessing it will be 20/80 f/r weight. Also, with the skinny front tires it won't want to over-steer.

It is so beautiful.

Such a great and beautiful car. I hate you Ralf. Studies done by GM [that concluded in 1972] revealed that the Corvair was safer than the average car in the 1960s.

I had a Spanish teacher who had a Corvair. He said it was better in the snow then the other American cars at the time because of weight over the drive wheels. He said, "when other cars got stuck or were slipping and sliding he would just keep going with out any problems." He also said it "drank tons of oil."

I remember something similar. I think they were worried the front wheels were going to lift off the ground and it would flip.

I really like his hat.

2.8 liter diesel, is it a Cummins ISF2.8?

I love the lack of pillar here. Were there any back windows?

The MV-1 did go out of production for almost a year because the government stopped paying out the loans due to the companies cash reserves getting to low. AM General whose factory these were built at bought the company and they are now in full production again. I am very glad these are in production because so many

Would you invest the other $16.6 billion or, as a taxpayer, have your $68 (on average) spent on something else?

Another reason I need to move back to Pittsburgh! (or Beaver Falls)

It also looks an awful lot like a Evo X, too.
