I would buy that shirt.

*Cough* Gossip Girl *Cough*

Man, that’s me. But don’t envy me/us, because I’m thin now, but I’m lazy and I eat junk, so I’m sure I’m bound to have hella health issues and a saggy body in a few years. But I don’t fucking caaaaare and I won’t apologize for it. Let the women eat!

I was just thinking the same thing. I could read these comments forever.

I agree with you. I also like that Rory didn’t dress like a freaking fashion model, the way “teenagers” tend to on most TV shows these days. She looked basically like I did when I was her age... I didn’t know how to dress when I was fifteen!

Veronica Mars wore a tank top over a shirt and Veronica Mars was perfect.

I really feel like I’ve found my people

I am soooooo sick of that shit. “They promoted an unrealistic lifestyle!! They ate a lot and NEVER exercised! Boooo!”

I assumed the same thing -they couldn’t afford a lot for clothing and were going to thrift stores. I was only a casual watcher but I also kind of assumed they were in an area that consisted of rural areas with upscale outposts. So they’d have easy access to thrift stores but not say, Wal-Mart.

I think the criticism about their clothes also ignores their budget. I think GG is one of the few shows where the characters’ clothing might actually be believable for their financial situation. Lorelei made dresses for Rory. Rory wore inexplicably bad tank tops off of the Sears sales rack. Them not having a lot of

I cannot ever believe that Emily Gilmore okayed that dress. Never.

OMG! For no reason at all your post just made me remember Jackson’s oneis footie pajamas with his high school wrestling pictures all over them! YAY!

Was this also the era of dresses over jeans?

i’m trying to figure out what the food and monogamy problems were? that they “ate a lot” and they both dated?

Ok, now after reading, I can tell you have no idea what you’re talking about. The only thing bad thing ever worn on GG was the disaster of a MoH dress Emily made Lorelai wear for the Gilmore vow renewal.

I understand like...one of those problems.

uhm are we gonna talk about how they shared clothes so often and yet Lorelai couldn’t have, I dunno, grabbed a sweater or a skirt from Rory instead of this country music video reject?

I get it was part of the plot to create tension later but my GOD. NO.

I totally remember that one! I think it was more Christina’s domain than Britney’s.

I know that Gilmore Girls had a race problem, and a food problem, and a monogamy problem

Rory was supposed to dress like a nerd in high school. Lorelei was supposed to dress younger than her years/job. Skinny scarves were in at the time, as were the printed tees. And whatever, those girls rocked whatever they wore.
