This. McGowan isn’t a “me too”. She’s a “me only”. She attacks anyone and everyone that doesn’t defend her personally.
Yeah, it’s going to be a long road. I always told people in the run-up to the votes in August and November that the amendment wasn’t the finish line, it was the starting line. For decades, Republicans have chipped away at reproductive care in the state, and building back from that will take years. One step in that…
Lead also tastes sweet, which is why kids eat leaded paint chips. That’s probably another reason they picked it in addition to color and weight.
I’ve heard of cutting illegal drugs with cheap ingredients in order to make more money off each transaction, but now they gotta cut my food with junk too?
My experience in service were the same. Oh, there’s two tables in the whole restaurant? Don’t you dare sit in the atrium for two minutes with a coffee. You have to act busy for the two occupied tables and the 48 empty tables.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall when they try and word how a man has to get an ultrasound three days before he can get a prescription for boner pills. ;-)
Not sure I would include the butter balls, they appear to have severe shelf-life issues resulting in almost universal one star reviews. Their scores seem to be propped up by a few 5 stars, including some dude who just eats them out of the package.
Any Willy Wonka movie will be better than the Johnny Depp one with the stupid Jim Carrey/Michael Jackson impression or whatever that was...
Apparently this is A Thing for me, because one of my longest-held bugbears is cashiers in the US who are not permitted to sit while they work. Why?
The same thing is happening to ingredients, so, yes, you do have to worry about this.
I guarantee you that tomato sauce and cheese is not what you think it is unless you’re paying a premium.
One could simply not care about the opinion of random 22 year olds.
1. This shit should be considered a form of bait and switch. If you establish a product under a brand for a certain length of time, you shouldn’t be able to market a worse product under the same name and brand. The only reason it works is because you’re deceiving the consumer.
And that person conveniently forgot that the phenomenon also affects the INGREDIENTS you would use at HOME. But I guess s/he needed a place to vent.
Judgy much? Nowhere did the article say people should eat entirely processed foods. And I don’t know about you, but a stand mixer and pasta rolling attachment (not to mention the wasted ingredients testing recipes) are a pretty expensive way to avoid buying a box of Ritz crackers for an office potluck.
Oh yay! Another tired ‘you just don’t understand the nature of business’ genius. The sad truth is that a whole lot of families can’t afford any other options or easily ‘spend more time and money on the healthy options’.
I would love to know why the large corperations think its ok for us to pay for the cost of prices going up. How about you give less bonuses to CEOs and take the hit. We should not be paying the bill.
The purpose of this article was to discuss how corporations cutting costs have affected the taste of foods, not their nutritional quality. Health is always important to keep in mind, but it is not the only notable thing about food to discuss. If you are so health-conscious as to insert your opinion where the topic was…
If you’re a director, and chairs are enough to make your team lose focus on the set, you have failed as the leader of that group. Days on set are long. Chairs are humane. Stop being a weirdo or worse an overbearing asshat under the guise of “your process.” Get some damn chairs.
