My one and only time at a Rainforest Cafe was mid 90s at Gurnee Mills mall. I also do not have any standout memories of the experience. I seem to feel like it was expensive, but I was also young enough that I wouldn't have been paying so I don't know if that's a trick of memory or youth.

I don’t think I was alive for Kmart’s golden years. Whenever I shopped there (or was dragged there) it always seemed dingy and pre-abandoned.

I bought the dehydrated kind in the carton (they were about a dollar) and was surprised at how not shitty they tasted! Just like taters, precious.
