The 2.3 will also probably be a bit lighter than the 3.7. So handling will be better.

WHY CAN'T I BUY A MUSTANG FOR $2,400 LIKE I COULD IN 1965!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Do you realize how hypocritical your statement is? If you don't care what the skin looks like, then you shouldn't care there isn't an SRT version, since it is basically just a Charger SRT8, just different looks.

Car came out in 1974. It's 40 years old. I'm talking about a modern car.

I know those cars have push rod V8s, but I doubt replacing the head gasket in any of those would be as easy as a small block 327.

Not one in any modern production vehicle.

So, we've got to go to a car that was released in 1974. Ok.

You could have stopped at 1975.

So we've got to go back to 1974. Ok.

At least the alternator is rarely an issue and the engine bay is spacious. Exhaust can be removed in a short time and axle in maybe double that amount of time.

What head gasket job is easy though?

Replacing spark plugs? You need to remove the rear wheels!

To be fair, the front end comes off with like four bolts. VW made it easy (compared to a Mercedes, Lexus or any other luxury auto) to take the front off.

Didn't follow any of the Fisker stuff besides thinking they were extremely sexy, and hearing stuff about small back seats.

But they aren't making money because they are choosing to spend it all. Look at their free cash flow.

That's better than my Xterra!

On my first road trip with a girlfriend. 6 hours there, 6 hours back, two nights there. I'm pumped because, ya know, hotel with your girlfriend and stuff. Decide to take my Saab. Girlfriend she says she wants to try road head. I can't believe she offered. Agree. About two minutes later the car dies on I-90

It's only cleaner if you aren't willing to invest some of your own time practicing on some scraps before hand. The spring loaded cap is probably the hardest part to re-create or replace with a similarly handy part that looks good.

Well, that's the whole point. If I can't get one, it doesn't matter if they make them at all. Coming from a potential consumer at least.

So... I can't get them in the US. Ok.
